DIY Christmas Advent Calendars

Today my lovely friend and fellow blogger Caitlyn (who is also a qualified Life Coach here in Korea, in case your looking for someone to help you find some direction in your life CLICK HERE!) organized a wonderful morning of Christmas DIYing. It just so happened to be four of us South African ladies who were able to make it, and over some delicious milk tart, we cut and stuck, and giggled and laughed the hours away.

It was a wonderful way to start sharing the Christmas spirit. We each brought enough little prezzies to fill 24 bags, and after we had decorated and filled each bag, we chose one bag for each day leading up to Christmas, knowing that some of the bags would contain surprises from each of us.

Such a fun morning.

This was such an easy DIY, and there are still 6 days left till December for you to get your advent calendars ready...click here for some more inspiration.

Thank you for organizing everything Kit! It was a wonderful morning.

DIY Advent Calendars {Christmas Inspiration}

Christmas is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate the end of another year and the lead up to Christmas than with a home made Advent Calendar. Christmas isn't as big here in South Korea as it is back home in South Africa, we even work right up until Christmas eve and only have Christmas day off. So, to get into the spirit, my lovely friend and fellow South African blogger Caitlyn has organized a ladies craft morning next weekend where we are all going to me making advent calendars for each other. I am very much looking forward to it, and of course I am armed with gorgeous pieces of stationery (and washi tape...don't forget about the washi tape!).

Here are a few ideas for you, so that you too can get crafty. Don't forget to enter my Stationery Giveaway {CLICK HERE} where you can win your own pretty package of special stationery all the way from here in Korea!

Christmas Styled Shoot

A little peek into a lovely styled shoot I did this weekend...and a shot of behind the scenes (it is winter here so please excuse the oversized pyjamas!) to give you an idea of what goes into a photoshoot like this one.

Happy Tuesday everyone, Christmas is just around the corner!

#PhotoOfTheWeek...Festive

Today is our last photo challenge for the year! Well done to everyone who submitted a photo...they really are, ummm, well...Festive!

Every week, the team is given a theme (each team member is given a chance to choose the theme for the week) and then each person has 7 days to take the perfect picture. It can be as edited or as natural as you like, the only rule is it has to be submitted to me by Sunday evening (South African time) so that I can get the post up asap on Sunday night/early Monday morning!

We will be continuing in the New Year, and if you would like to be a part of our weekly photograph challenge you can drop me an email here

Write here, Write now...

Check it out now, funk soul brother, right about now, funk soul brother...Ok I got a little carried away there and now that song is stuck in my head (and now probably yours too!) but I was just so excited to show off my Christmas prezzie from Farmboy. I have been searching high and low for one of these baby's that actually works. I am proud to introduce to you, my very own, complete with old lady smell, Smith Corona Typewriter:

So many of my family members think I've lost the plot when i unwrapped this present. "Why on earth would a young, ipad loving techno savvy person want something as ancient as this" my dad asked me. And the answer, I just do. There ain't nothing like typing out a letter on a good old fashioned typewriter. Anyone else share my love for archaic writing machines?
