I'm 24 and live in Johannesburg Pietermaritzburg, South Africa (I have also lived in London, England and Daejeon, South Korea). I don't consider myself to be a creative person, but what I do love doing is blogging. I wish I could make really cool crafts and design awesome graphics, but alas, I have to rely on people such as the ladies behind PuglyPixel and ShabbyBlogs to make my blog look pretty.
When I grow up I want to be a teacher. I have always wanted to teach, but have gotten sidetracked along the way. I am currently have just finished my Teaching Diploma through the University of Kwazulu Natal. I am working as a Grade 3 teacher at a lovely Primary School right here in Pietermaritzburg, but our plans for the future are to head back to South Korea to teach English to cute kiddies and see the world!
Thats the plan anyway :)
But the name of this blog is CityGirl Searching, I can never be certain where exactly my searching may lead. Join me as I planned my wedding {which took place on 23rd September 2012}, find interesting places to explore, review make up products, take pretty pictures and lots lots more!
I love taking photographs, all the photo's on my blog have either been taken by me or by my incredibly talented fiancé hubby who shall forever be referred to on this blog as Farmboy. Why I hear you ask? Well he really is a farm boy, having been born and raised on a dairy day in Kwazulu Natal his whole life...cool hey.
I started this blog in March last year after the relative success of my travel blog turned website FarmboyandCityGirl. That was a travel site aimed at foreigners living in South Korea and for people looking to go over there to teach English. If you're thinking about it, don't. Just go! You won't regret it, it was the best thing Farmboy and I ever done...
